Hi, I'm Rachel.
I'm the photographer behind RBG Photography, based in Woodstock, Maryland.
I started taking photos of my own family and friends, and word spread from there. What I love most is the in-between: the squeeze before a big laugh, a sibling whisper, the way a parent looks at their kids, or each other, when nobody's watching.
My sessions are relaxed and playful. I'll give you just enough direction to feel comfortable, then let your family be your family. Kids are welcome to be kids. Wiggles, tears and silly faces all make it into the story.
When I'm not behind the camera you'll find me with my two boys and husband. We love camping, a friendly fire-pit Friday, or enjoying activities in the area. We moved here a little over two years ago from Texas so finding new spots for adventures has been a family favorite.

I plan sessions around soft morning or golden-hour light, so skin looks warm and nobody's squinting.
Gentle guidance
Simple prompts and games instead of stiff poses. You'll never have to wonder what to do with your hands.
Kid-friendly pace
Breaks, snacks and silliness are part of the plan. Happy kids make the best photos.
